Rosebud: a fitting nickname for our baby girl in her poofy, tulle and rosebud infested Easter dress. Someone gave it to us before she was born and at first look I couldn't imagine viewing it as anything other than an excessively pink abomination. However, Malena has transformed it! She looked ADORABLE and I attempted to take her picture. These are the best results.
Following are various recent pictures for which I will surely create silly captions.
This is a perfectly adorable moment.
"Look Mom, I'm wearing your dress!" It's true: Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol gave me this dress when I was a newborn! Malena promptly spit up all over it so I don't think she' knows it's a special dress. :)
Love her.
This is how I get things done! Malena is learning the complexities of stirring.
AND NOW....for the funny ways Malena sleeps:
I will leave you with a smile. Just TRY not to smile back! :)

Haha, Judy you wouldn't be the first! :)
OMG, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!
Cute! I enjoyed looking at your recent posts, especially the preparation for the Alaskan wilderness! Good job! Has she tested out the ocean water yet to prepare for her first summer swim?
Haha! Caren, I was reminiscing about our first swims of the year recently! So it's very funny that you mentioned that. :) HOWEVER, I think the direct glacial melt up here might make the temperatures actually prohibitive for swimming...but then again, Ketchikan water temps are prohibitive for most people so I guess we'll just see what kind of girl Malena is. :)
She is adorable! But how could she not be? Glad you are well and happy!
